Lothar, I've written a book on how to improve the quality of software thereby making testing more about the correctness of the logic and data. I've learned that testing does not improve the quality of software therefore testers have truly thankless…

Profile Information

My interest in Model Driven Software Development:
Started with developing real-time radar systems that lead to the invention of Multi-Core technology and Hyper-Threading which lead to the invention of Coherent Object System Architecture (COSA) which resulted in me writing a book containing my solution to MDS
My experience of Model Driven Software Development:
I started using tools like STP back in the late 1980s. I then started inventing my own approaches to modeling. I found that the spatial approach was always going to fail so I created a temporal approach. Took my website down and will be restarting it soon.

Book review of: Breaking the Time Barrier: The Temporal Engineering of Software

I wrote this book to make an impact on the quality of software and to get developers to think how the model starts with the specification and is integral to the application. Someone will capitalize on my work to produce a specification to application tool. That will be model driven software.

Here is another review.

Nice to hear back from you again Gordon. My IDE (AtomWeaver) is due in November. People in the Early Access Program (you are included) will have access to it in the beginning of September. Exciting times ahead!

Thanks Gordon, I can see the PDF.

I am developing an IDE that implements my Atom-Based Software Engineering approach. The flexibility of the approach lets you plug-in any other methodology, including COSA.

What I will do is to put you on my ABSE Early Access list, and I'll send you a prototype of the IDE when it's available. Then you can judge how easy (or hard) it is to implement COSA using ABSE.

Thanks Gordon.

I think that ABSE (my own view of MDSD) could be used to apply COSA. The result could be great. So I'll keep an eye on this.

"holds the possibility of eliminating programmers as we know them" - I think programmers won't feel so comfortable with that claim... just kidding.

That's just fine, Gordon. Let's just wait for your book to be published then.

Is your book already published? I did manage to find your US Patent #6345387 on COSA, but I did not find any reference to a book named "Breaking the Time Barrier", or to Dr. Aynur Anul...

Can you tell us what is the book you've written? Thanks.
