Hello,I would like if someone knows some papers, good reads, tools or anything else about practices about guessing models from unstructured data? Even if it's tightly related to your metamodel, I…Continue

Thanks for your answer, it seems that retromodeling can be applied too. Another initiative is the Eclipse MoDisco project (http://eclipse.org/MoDisco/).   But I think it's quite hard to apply it to unstructured data since you don't…

Andreas Leue replied to Xavier Seignard's discussion 'Guessing models from unstructured data'
Recently I discussed with the author of idocit that his tool would be a cool starting point for deducing models from code, and he agreed that this would be interesting. It works with "thematic grids and thematic roles" (quoted from link).

Yes, it is clear now. However, I have little experience with the topic. If the data is more like knowledge, you may found some help in the AOP (aspect oriented programming) community. A part of AOP is to create a model of a source code (data). This…

Xavier Seignard replied to Xavier Seignard's discussion 'Guessing models from unstructured data'
Hello Andriy, You're right, what I wrote is not clear. What I mean is as input I only have a metamodel and some unstructured (or semi structured) data. The goal is to create models that conforms my metamodel from the data. To achieve that, I…

How to develop your MagicDraw plugin

MagicDraw is a great modeling tool for lot of reasons. First of all :

  • this is a mature tool,
  • enterprise ready,
  • and easy to use.
Then there's a lot of great side functionalities like :

  • reporting templates,
  • dependency matrix,
  • active validation
  • and even more!

But in a model driven environment, MagicDraw is great because of its… Continue

Thanks Xavier.

Basically we are doing participatory modeling (for rural development/natural resource management) via the customary process of RPG development, and with the innovation of building our communal RPGs into Rules based games. My hope had been that rules were easy enough to work with that others could easily add restrictions/actions to our games, but I'm finding that much more context is required. So, we are starting to work UML2 and other modeling languages with the hope of using them as a generator for the logic and constraints of our rules in addition to the Object hierarchies. Do you have much experience around model to code generation? I'm definitely looking for advice, warnings, ideas and places to go with these kinds of technologies.

Saludos,

Andrew

Hola Xavier,

Lamentablemente yo estoy en Culiacán, Sinaloa, no en Mérida. Muy lejos. Pero igual por este medio podemos compartir sobre "MDSD".

Ricardo.
